Myndlift: A startup to sharpen up
Myndlift from The Long + Short on Vimeo.
Myndlift, a startup based in Tel Aviv, aims to alleviate the inattention and hyperactivity symptoms associated with heavy smartphone usage. It's done through neurofeedback therapy made available on the devices themselves. Aziz Kaddan, a co-founder of Myndlift, started the company to offer a non-invasive alternative to those suffering from ADHD, a condition that affected two of his siblings growing up.
Despite the negative effects smartphones can have on our attention spans, they are an integral part of our daily lives and it is hard to imagine that their usage will decrease. Myndlift is aiming to use smartphones to bring the product into people's homes to help them treat general attention disorders. This will sit alongside their more clinically based work in treating psychological conditions.
In this film Kaddan talks about the development of their project as well as his status as a Palestinian entrepreneur working in the burgeoning Israeli tech scene.
